How to enter

2022 Syllabus:  The syllabus will not be produced in hard copy this year.  There will be a pdf available for download from the website.

The 2022 is live.  After a short survey, it will return in its traditional format, albeit delayed one week in view of the Jubilee celebrations.  The entry deadline is similarly extended to 22nd April, with any entries received thereafter subject to a 50% surcharge.  Any application recieved after the 29th April can only be processed if the timetable has not been finalised.

As this is a very challenging time for music tuition, you may not be sure if you feel ready for a public performance.  If this is the case, you may still submit a non-competitive performance on a video.  This will receive a full written adjudication, but there will be no live session with the adjudicator.

The deadline for submitting videos is 1st June and at the same time,  other than set pieces, a photocopy of the work being performed must be send to the Festival Office so that these can be forwarded to the adjudicators. Address below.  Submissions should be made here.

Please read the syllabus carefully, along with the regulations, and make sure you have selected the appropriate class(es) for your age and skill level.
N.B. Performances which do not meet the correct criteria will receive an adjudication, but will be considered non-competitive.

Online entries can be made at: www.nespa.scot
Please complete the entry with all the details required, in time to meet the closing date, and provide all necessary information (and paperwork if relevant).

Please note: For "X" classes, titles are required with the entry and please provide a photocopy of the work you are performing on the day for all classes apart from those with a set piece. Address below.

Paper entry forms are available by printing the document at the bottom of this page. A current email address is required with a paper entry.  Once completed, these should be sent, with a cheque payment and any copies required, to:
NESPA Festival Office c/o EPM
4th floor, H1 Building,
Hill of Rubislaw,
Anderson Drive, AB15 6BL.

Performing dates/times
Once all entries are processed, performing times and venues are allocated. Ballot slips will be emailed to each entrant around the end of May with details of the performance time and zoom link for the chosen classes.

Please ensure that the Festival's email address is enabled in your email account to prevent information going into spam/junk mail.  It is:
