TRADITIONAL MUSIC

FESTIVAL 2020 - PLAN B
MORE GREAT NEWS. ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH OUR ADJUDICATOR MARIE FIELDING FOR THIS YEAR’S TRADITIONAL MUSIC CLASSES.

Entry deadline is 30th April
Video submissions should be made by 15th May.

Entrants should submit pre-recorded videos of their performances to the festival which will be sent on for adjudication.  Live adjudications will be provided at set times during festival week.  Performers will be advised of their adjudication times when the final timetable is drawn up.  The provisional dates for this are Thursday 4th or Friday 5th June, but we cannot confirm this until entries close and arrangements completed.

Sadly, we cannot provide Kawai pianos this year for live performances.  Please perform on whatever instrument you have to practise on at home.

Adjudication sheets will be sent out by email, and Certificates will be forwarded in hard copy the week after the festival.

Video recordings made on mobile phones, tablets or laptops are adequate and if the file size is too big for email the recordings can be submitted to the festival using Dropbox or similar.  A crib sheet with some tips for recording will be available over the next few weeks.

If you have not yet submitted and entry, there is still time to do so.  The entry deadline has been extended to end of April and all are welcome to take part.  See Traditional Section for list of classes.
