Bursaries

The Festival Association offers two annual bursaries of £300 each, for the furtherance of the musical studies of the recipients.  Both bursaries are awarded at the discretion of the relevant adjudicator.

Piano: The Alex Watters memorial prize will be awarded to a promising competitor who has performed in two or more solo keyboard classes at age 16 & under, age 18 & under, Grade 6-7, grade 7-8 or Open levels.

Vocal: The Rachel Barry memorial prize will be awarded to a promising competitor of age 16 years and over who has performed in two or more solo classes, one of which must be Classical.  The other may include Voice & Piano, but not Scots, Hebridean, Folk Song or Light Music.
